SHAH ALAM, JAN 7: A total of 100 individuals participated in the Tanjung Harapan coastal cleanup program, 'We Care For The Ocean' organized by the non-governmental organization Enlightment Movement, today.
According to the Klang Municipal Council (MPK), the program which starts from 8 am to 12 noon also has the cooperation of KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM) and the Sungai Klang Heritage Club.
"The program is organized to increase the awareness and concern of the local community towards the sustainability of the sea and efforts to conserve coastal conditions," he said via Facebook.
Also present to enliven the program were representatives from the Community Department and the Town Planning Department, Klang Municipal Council.
Tourism Selangor lists Tanjung Harapan among the five popular tourist and fishing locations in the state.
Tanjung Harapan or 'Cape of Good Hope' has a beach of two kilometers (km) and borders the Port of Klang Golf Resort.
