In this regard, Director of Corporate Communications, Norfiza Mahfiz said, MBDK denied any statement that there was no financial allocation by its staff for the Klang Crematorium renovation works as claimed by an individual recently.

Norfiza explained that the allegation was malicious and full of elements of inciting netizens on the social media belonging to the individual who claimed that he was a former councilor of a local authority (PBT) who also uttered abusive words to local leaders including members of the MBDK Council.

Director of the Health Department, MBDK Azmi Muji (centre) held a survey for the latest renovation works at the Klang Crematorium.

According to him, the Engineering Department has also updated and monitored the Klang Crematorium upgrade work which is currently still in the process of being repaired.

"The works are expected to be completed on 30 October 2024 and in the past few weeks, the Engineering Department has carried out repairs on some of the 'minor' damages that were complained about," he said.

Norfiza added, among the repairs carried out involving fans and lights in the front, toilets while damage such as in the roof will be carried out in stages by the Engineering Department.

According to him, the accusation that the rights of Indians are being denied by MBDK is a bit exaggerated and his party is currently examining several angles including the legal process against the individual concerned. - KitaReporters
