SHAH ALAM, 29 FEB: The Royal Klang City Council (MBDK) has allocated a total of RM212 million to upgrade infrastructure facilities and beautify Klang.

Its mayor Datin Paduka Noraini Roslan said the expenditure included environmental cleanliness and public health amounting to RM91.914 million and drain maintenance of RM24.957 million.

"Road maintenance amounts to RM 67.250 million, beautification and maintenance of parks and landscape RM28.056 million," he said in a full meeting of MBDK, today.

Noraini added MBDK will emphasize holistic and sustainable development towards empowering Klang as a Royal heritage city and globally competitive port.

In addition, he also congratulated MBDK who won the Diamond Recognition Award in the Partner category at the 2023 Low Carbon City Award Ceremony on February 7.

"Diamond recognition in the MBDK Partner category was also given to recipients including Sultan Alam Shah Building, MBDK Headquarters, SMK (P) Raja Zarina, SK Taman Gembira, ⁠Mewah Oils Sdn Bhd and SK Pelabuhan Klang.

"Congratulations to all 16 recipients of this Diamond Recognition Award," he said.
