KLANG - The influx of foreigners operating businesses at Pasar Malam Teruntum here ended when the authorities cracked down yesterday.

The operation started at 5pm which was carried out by the Royal Klang City Council (MBDK) also issued 21 compounds in total.

MBDK's Director of Corporate Communications, Norfiza Mahfiz, said the raid was the result of a complaint and an inspection of 51 traders in total.

He said, the results showed that seven local traders were doing business without a license and 14 traders violated the terms of business, namely using foreign workers and not providing trash bins.

"The raiding team also confiscated three stalls run by foreign traders who were operating in a 'rambo' manner at the location.

"The seizure involves essential items including vegetables and wet fish items," he said when contacted here today.

He explained that strict instructions were also given to traders not to use foreign workers to operate their businesses with the owner having to be on location.

According to Norfiza, license cancellation will be imposed on license holders who violate the conditions of the night market trader's license.

"Actions of 21 compounds were also issued with 13 of them under By-law (UUK) 15 (1) peddlers, which is hiring foreign workers without permission, in addition to seven under UUK3 running a business without a license and one not providing trash cans," he said. – COSMO! ONLINE
