Klang: The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah suggested that half of the members of the Klang Royal City Council (MBDK) should be professionals.

His Majesty is of the view that not only politicians, professionals who are experts in the development of a city are also needed.

"If possible, I would suggest that the number of professionals should at least meet 50 percent of the total number of council members.

"In addition, the councilors also need to describe the composition and population of a race that resides in Klang City so that all races can be represented according to the corresponding number," said His Majesty after completing the Proclamation Ceremony of the Royal Klang City Council here, today.

Also present accompanying His Majesty, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

His Majesty also reminded council members, the mayor and MBDK staff to always provide services with full dedication and integrity.

"Stay away from all acts of corruption and abuse of power for the benefit of yourself or a particular party.

"Gentlemen all have to go down to the field to get closer and see for themselves the problems of the people and provide the best service to them.

"Practice the approach of discussing and acting immediately without having to wait for a complaint to be made before you want to act," he said.
